陈清汉教授出任香港城市大学法学院院长

香港城市大学法学院院长将由前新加坡国立大学法学院院长陈清汉教授担任。香港城市大学校长郭位教授已于2019年1月24日公布任命信。以下是大学宣布信：

Appointment of Dean of School of Law

Dear Colleagues,

I am pleased to announce that Professor TAN Cheng Han has been appointed as Chair Professor of Commercial Law in the School of Law. He will assume duty on 2 July 2019, and concurrently serve as Dean of the School from 1 September 2019.

Professor Tan is currently Professor of Law at the Faculty of Law, National University of Singapore (NUS) and Chairman of the EW Barker Centre for Law and Business.  He was Dean of the NUS law school from May 2001 to December 2011.  He received his LLB from NUS and LLM from the University of Cambridge.  His research interests span agency, contract, corporations law, legal education and secured transactions.

With Professor Tan’s outstanding academic record and distinguished administrative experience, I am confident that he will lead the School to excel in research and professional education and to achieve new heights in the future.

I would like to take the opportunity to record a vote of thanks to Professor Geraint HOWELLS who has served as Dean in the past few years for his contributions to the School.
